Screen Video Recorder

The Screen Video Recorder application records whatever is displayed on your computer’s monitor and whatever sound is coming from your computer’s speakers. The Gold Edition can save the recording as an AVI, WMV, SWF, or FLV file. The Standard Edition supports only AVI and WMV, while the Flash edition supports SWF and FLV.

The Screen Video Recorder Gold Edition installation file is 8.9Mb in size. Run it, follow the on screen instructions presented by the setup wizard, and moments later you will have the application up and running. It should work just fine on PCs powered by anything from Windows 7 down to Windows 2000.

Screen Video Recorder’s interface is so simple that even a novice will feel at home after about a minute. At the top you have buttons for starting, stopping, and playing a video recording while underneath you have a list of settings – that’s a really simple interface. And it can get even simpler if you select Compact Mode.

As mentioned above, this application records whatever is displayed on your screen and records whatever is coming out of the speakers. You get to choose if you want to record the whole screen, a specific window, or a specific region of the screen. You will also get to choose the format of the recording and the encoding options the application uses for the recording.

The nice thing about Screen Video Recorder is that it can do things on its own. What I mean to say by that is that you don’t have to manually launch a recording – you can schedule one to take place automatically. Another nice thing is that it can capture screen activity in Sneak Mode at startup.
